Is a 3.25 GPA bad in freshman year of high school?
I m not looking into any fancy collages like Yale or Harvard, I ll likely go back to Canada and try University of Toronto. But is the GPA really that bad? My older brother (who s GPA is under 3) keeps telling me that no school is going to accept me unless I have a 4.0 or higher. I can barely sleep because I m always trying to raise it, but it seems pointless because I can t get straight A s.

US universities will want your unweighted cumulative GPA on a 4.0 scale, so that can not be higher than a 4.0.
Yale and Harvard need very high GPA to be accepted. But there are well over 2000 colleges and universities in the US. Keep your GPA above a 3.0 and you will have many options
It's good! But not if your looking at univerities like Yale and Harvard, which I thought it said you were
