It varies all over the place. The research network (CANARIE, BCnet etc.) is gigabits fast, like Internet2 in the US. But there are small communities still with nothing, or satellite/dialup only.CIRA gives averages of 22M down in Ontario and 7M down in the Yukon.

Well, it varies from place to place. Some have very fast, some have slow, and some in between. It depends how the service is delivered and that is not the same in every single place in our 9.985 square kilometres
