What kind of government choses your life and purpose for you?
I'm thinking about communism. For example, say you go to school till age 12, then you're assigned a job rather than desiring to work on something you'd LIKE to work on. Example, say I'd like to be a doctor but the government says I'm going to be a plumber. But I have to say in the matter, so I'm forced to oblige. Would this be a communist-related government? If not, what kind would it be?

bigger government bigger influence in your life so yeah
Communism means a classless society with no rulers or bosses, so no government. The USSR wasn't Communist.
Communism, even in the failed form that it used to exist in the USSR and eastern Europe, never ASSIGNED anyone a job. Even that recognised what talent you had, provided education to suit what you could do, and gave opportunities to work where your talents could be best used. What it DID do was ensure that everyone HAD a job, because the government was the only employer. When all jobs are government jobs, the government is stuck with you whether it provides a job or not! That's the basic thing about how communism works out in reality.
It might have been at a less qualified level than you could actually do, but that's true everywhere. Even in a capitalist society, if there isn't a vacancy for what you want to do, or you can't get any customers from running your own business doing that, you need to choose something else.
Actually being forced into being a plumber when you have the ability to be a doctor and could help people more that way sounds more like Cambodia under Pol Pot, where there was wholesale massacre of anyone "intelligent" who would interfere with Pol Pot's plan to turn the country back several centuries into something medieval. That can only be described as total dictatorship.
You just described what they had in USSR. So yes, Liberal Progressive Commies Ultra Left government will do just that for you.
