Scammed via bank transfer!?

To cut a long story short I fell into the stupid trap of buying a product via bank transfer. The seller said 2 weeks ago they cant refund me until 27/11/16 which they still havent. Also in that message the seller said they dont mind if I claim the money through paypal? There is evidence of them saying this, but surely paypal wont help me will they?

How can Paypal help you when you paid the seller directly from your bank? That makes no sense whatsoever. Trusting someone you do not know - these days, is very - I repeat VERY risky. If you do not get the item, sue them. That is all you can do. I mean, you did not even have them charge your bank. You just sent them money. Kiss it goodbye and yes, it was very stupid. It was not a trap. It was bad judgment on your part.

PayPal can not help unless you paid through PayPal.
If you paid via ACH, talk to your bank. These can normally be reversed within 60 days.
If you paid via bank wire transfer, you are out of luck. Those can only be reversed with the permission of both parties.
