Write a reaction that represents the dissolving of CaSO4 in water. Remember to include the states of matter (example: (g) for gas). Calculate the molar solubility of CaSO4 if Ksp=7.10x10^-5

CaSO4(s) <--> Ca2+(aq) + SO42-(aq)

Ksp = [Ca2+][SO42-] = 7.10X10^-5

Let s = molar solubility. Then, in a saturated solution, [Ca2+] = s = [SO42-]. So:
7.10X10^-5 = s^2
s = 8.43X10^-3 M
