Molar mass of AgCl = (107.9 + 35.5) g/mol = 143.4 g/mol

Ag⁺(aq) + Cl⁻(aq) → AgCl(s)
OR: Mole ratio Cl⁻ : AgCl = 1 : 1

No. of moles of AgCl = (57.4 g) / (143.4 g/mol) = 0.4 mol
No. of moles of Cl⁻ = 0.4 mol

0.2 mole of the chloride of U contains 0.4 mole of chloride ions.
Hence, 1 mole of the chloride of U contains 0.4/0.2 = 2 moles of chloride ions.
The formula of the chloride of U: UCl₂
