Shepherd.

Dogs are prey animals, cats are prey your responsibility to keep both safe from harm by constant supervision, securely separate/contain only when you can't, immediate correction when caught in the act, and if it doesn't work out, return or re-home the dog.

Huskies have a very high prey drive and are notorious cat killers. Some GSD's are too. But you have no idea with a mix what traits the dog has inherited. If it's the Husky ones it is only a matter of time until you come home to carnage. You cannot train prey drive out of a dog, it's as instinctive as breathing.

make sure you introduce them to each other.....hold the dog back to prevent it fom snapping at the cats....but they should be fine fairly soon once the dog realizes it's where they stay too !

Train the puppy from day one that it must be gentle with the cats. Correct aggressive behavior or chasing immediately. If the puppy knows YOU are the leader, it shouldn't be a problem. I've had cats with German Shepherds, wolfdogs and Cattle Dogs. One of the GSDs and one of the wolfdogs were previous cat chasers/killers. They were fine with MY cats, becuase they knew I was the leader.

please, it is SHEPHERD, not "sheppard." Yes, the dog will probably chase your cats and may try to kill them.
