Why can't the UK police carry guns on the beat to shoot some scum like those yobs who beat up bobbies recently? Give no mercy to those yobs?

There ARE armed police on our streets - just not every officer. Those yobs were actually children - utterly disgraceful. I'm sure their parents are very proud of them.
