If you had to kill for you're own food would you? or would you be vegetarian?

I would probably kill and eat I have before , I do not think I could kill an animal I raised I have not tried that , sitting down eating porky the pet pig is a bit much for me .

I'd kill my own broccoli. Just kidding. I was a vegetarian for 32 years and I used to cook meat for others all the time. I used to say I had no issues with killing animals, butchering, defeathering or scaling an animal not with cooking it. I just didn't want to eat it.

I already have. Grew up on a farm and hubby and I also lived on a farm, raised chickens for eggs and meat, raised a calf into a steer, raised hogs into pork...Hubby hunted deer in the fall.
ALSO grew a large garden and froze and canned my own pickles, beets, carrots, peas, beans, potatoes tomatoes, corn,green beans, squash, pumpkin, sweet potatoes, peppers, onions. Ate boatloads of radishes, summer lettuce, cauliflower, broccoli. Raised cabbage and made my own sauerkraut too.
Most older farm people have done all this for centuries.

I could very easily give up meat and poultry. Not too keen on killing my own. I have killed mice in the past, just banged with shovel and didn't really like that. I do respect the farmers and people who kill their own meat.

I cook a lot of yummy vegetarian foods, so being a veg would be easy.

I'd hunt for fresh meat against the winter coldness.

Hypothetically I'd be a vegetarian probably. Although it's a silly question because how would you ever enforce it that we have to kill ourselves? I could just ask someone else to do it for me even if meat stopped being sold commercially tomorrow.
