Im dealing with a *******/player?

There is this guy who tells me Im cute and says he likes me problem is he has a girlfriend. I have asked him about her and he says that their relationship isn't going to work? I have heard from two people, one who is the person I used to like said he just wants to **** me and I asked him about it and he says no. A friend of mine said that he said Im different and he wants to get me. What do I do?

Tell this possible ' cheater ', that you will go with him, ONLY once he is not longer in a relationship.
Start nothing before to be sure he really is single / free. It will avoid you to suffer.

If you like him, that's one thing. There are a few things I would say to do a little bit differently, though not by much. However, if you're just being hit on and aren't interested in him at all, my grandmother gave me some pretty good advice once: ignore them, and they'll eventually get the picture.
Either way, if you know the girlfriend, I would definitely tell her that he's hitting on you and that you're uncomfortable with it (since, I'm guessing you are, and all). If you ARE interested in him, I'll be honest, I don't know how you would be able to be his girlfriend without him doing the same thing to you that he's doing to his current girlfriend. If you are NOT interested in him, maybe keeping friends around that support you and know you aren't interested can act as a good support buffer to keep him further away from you. Remember: you don't have to give in.
I honestly think that if he has a girlfriend at the time he's flirting with you, he's probably got the most dishonorable thoughts in mind for your body and your heart, but the ******* that I have experience with said that of every girl that he actually dated- that they were different, that he was going to be with them forever. Said that of every last girl he dated, while ****ing someone else behind their backs. Be careful of your heart and body, I say.
