Becoming a polloterian then vegetarian?

I want to become a vegetarian but first i want to become a polloterian which is like no red meat but you eat poultry and stuff. I wanna do the whole polloterian thing because i feel like if I completely deprive myself of meat at first it might cause me to give up on becoming vegetarian quick. But what i want to know what do vegetarians eat? Or like whats something i can start with like give me some tips and foods and recipes i guess :P thanks! :)

Well, whatever works for you. and to tell you the truth my road to veganism was extremely gradual and full of detours and time outs.
But.
If i had it all over to do again I would just start being vegetarian immediately . there are no rules or points. if you can't be a vegetarian on Monday, then don't. and be one on tuesday. Most experts agree that it takes only three weeks to break a bad habit or to create a new one. so if you make a concerted effort for three weeks - it becomes almost automatic after that. The "gradualism" is actually working against your human nature.
Also, meat IS addicting. you are much better going cold turkey. (no pun intended).

Everything.

Just not meat. We don't eat special food. I eat what I always ate, I just don't put animal products in it anymore.

Try a delicious Tofurky at this time of the year.

That sounds like a good transition method.
I eat nuts, eggs, cheese, yogurt, cottage cheese, tofu and fake meats.

vegetarians eat everything you eat now except meat...its really that simple. YOU eat vegetarian meals all the time. the next time you have cereal, toast and cofffee for breakfast, you just ate a vegetarian meal.
