Certificate of origin for a trailer...??

Okay so I bought a horse trailer that didn't come with the title, but it came with the certificate of origin for a vehicle. Im wondering if ill be able to obtain the title for it, or will I need the person who bought the trailer to get the title for me? I've tried to search about this, but I haven't find my exact answer.
Please serious answers only. It seems people only answer dumb questions, and not the serious ones that i really need help on. Trying to give Yahoo answers another chance. Please help!! Need information about this certificate.
Thanks!!

You are fine. A certificate of origin is the builders paperwork to apply for a title. Just take your paperwork to the DMV and they will process it and send you a title.

Simply take the Certificate of origin to your DMV and use it to get the title.

Where are you on this big blue ball?
UK answer.
You keep the certificate safe if yiu need to take it to Europe.
In the UK trailers are not registered and have no title issued as such. They display the registration number of the towing vehicle
In most of Europe they are registered and get their own number.
A certificate of origin is needed to carry out that registration.

You haven't mentioned which state you're in.
