Hey I was overweight about a year ago about 6'4 and 220 pounds. I am now about 180. Here is how I did it lifting weights not heavy lifting just repetitious for about 10 minutes a day 4 times a week and would also plank for two minutes a day. Building mussel is essential to losing fat (you don't have to be jacked the repetition is important). Cardio is equally as essential, I played tennis 3 times a week for an hour and half and would sporadically jog/walk in intervals of 5 minutes on days that I didn't for 30 minutes (5 minutes jogging 5 minutes walking 3 times 30 minutes total. The food was the hard part for me but committed to eating 1500 calories or less for half a year. I know your not supposed to do this but the only way I could stick to eating less then 1,500 calories was to hold off until late (I basically only ate dinner and a snack at night and chewed gum constantly). I ended up losing 40-45 pounds in like 6-7 months. Its hard starting but once you get in the routine it just becomes normal. Everyone is different in how they achieve their goals, but it is essential that you do some form of strength conditioning, cardio, and your diet is extremely important. I really hope you achieve your goals. Anything thats hard in the beginning is worth it in the end at a individual level.

You need an exercise that will target your adominals, tennis, badmington, squash, racketball, pingpong, Wii, swimming, pressups can help provided you keep a straight, back even a few chin ups. Even tetherball is good.
As for sit ups be VERY careful with your technique. As a mother you do not want to risk your back or neck (carrying a baby is enough strain before & after birth). put your feet up on a bed or chair so the inside of your knees are at a 90 degree angle, put each hand on the opposite shoulder, so your arms are crossed over your chest. Now pull yourself up with your stomach muscles, you won't go far and it will be tough as hell. Keep your head looking up - NECK STRAIGHT is the key. You can go to each side also, this will massively help your lateral muscles. At first you might only do 1 or 2, that is okay. Unlike other muscles that tire, you may even build up to reptetitions in the 100's. Go easy, and do a little each day. Be sure to give your self days off, even take a week or so holiday, even your body deserves a holiday now and then. Give your body a holiday when the rest of you takes one.
It sounds predictable but really diet and exercise is the best way. If you want to lose some weight go on a diet restricting your calories. Starvation diets never work so basically I'd say stick to under 1500 calories a day. You can go back to a more normal calorie level, like say two to two and a half thousand calories a day, when you've lost the weight you want to lose. Honestly, there's no short cut to loosing belly fat. All those magazines are lies. It's just gonna take a lot of cardio. Crunches and sit ups don't help by the way. Those only build your abdomen. go vegan. i went vegan in september and its now november and i lost 20 pounds and counting. whenever i gain weight it goes right to my stomach and now that ive been losing weight ive noticed that ive been slimming down a lot there because of my overall weight loss. i did it for ethical reasons but i would recommend it to someone trying to slim down. also, if you arent 100% strict about it you can slip up sometimes but as soon as i cut out meat and dairy i instantly noticed results in my looks and overall health.
With proper diet and exercise it is possible. Surgery is not a best option for the belly fat, because it may cause again. And if you are older surgery may not suit your body. It is helpful if you change your food habit including proper diet like oat, green vegetables,etc and exercise daily on your belly will help you lot.

First thing would be to rule out any medical problems tied to your weight. Like hypothyroidism or Cushings disease. (Or even celiac disease). i dont know if this will help you but i recently started cycling. just for fun really and then i realized how much its shaping my body. it really is targeting my mid section and my stomach is definitely much more toned than it was.
I would advise jogging around the block, don't walk because that can sometimes build muscle and make you bigger! Instead of snacking during the day, I find when I am hungry I have tea. Tea stops snacking! Good luck!

From whatever I ve heard, you cannot specifically remove fat from just one area. You bring down the overall amount of fat in your body by doing cardio and by eating lean.
getting rid of belly fat is almost synonymous with cutting calories. True, high protein diets or lifting weight cause you to lose more fat, but it all boils down to cutting calories. Unfortunately, fat tends to store on the stomach because that's the easiest place for the body to keep it (if it was stores in the arms, then you'd have a survival problem if you were living 10,000 years ago. So, the body adapted to using the stomach after it realized that it was the most efficient place. So you get cut by losing weight and its difficult to spot exercise the weight off. Very simple yet very hard. Eat a lot less and be patient. Trust me.
Abs are made in the kitchen. There is an 80/20 rule, that your body looks like it does because of your diet (80%) and your exercise (20%). I recommend journaling every single thing you eat for a week. Do an analysis of how much sugar (refined) you are consuming. Your answer will be right there. I did this, and lost 10 pounds immediately by limiting my refined sugar intake to 32g per day. I also do not consume any fake sugars. I only sweeten with organic sugar in the raw and stevia.

If ur trying to lose belly fat without exercise u should try and take care of ur diet like having breakfast and lunch in a certain amount and try to stay away from midnight snack and keep ur dinner about 6 or 7 oclock..and try hydrating yourself more often with lemon and cucumber water, it helps u keep a flat stomach and even green tea everyday does the trick as well.. getting rid of the fat without exercise is slower than with exercise , but it does the trick too.. just give it time

I lost 45 lbs diet only by switching to high protein diet and eating a big meal once a day. I would eat something small, like a healthy snack in the morning and then fasting all day for at least 4-6 hours. Then I would eat all my calories at night. Use myfitnesspal and look at naturally slim videos. Eating 3-4 small meals just made me gain weight. It depends on your metabolism but fasting everyday worked for me. On days I would work out, 3-4 scrambled eggs (bacon and toast optional). Healthy snacks, ranch dip and sugar snap peas and carrots (raw). Cut out as many carbs as you can stand. Cut out as much sugar as you can. Sodas are diet killers. Myfitnesspal helps you figure out how many calories in things you eat. You will notice that you will be cooking more at home and eating junk food way less, especially carbs like potatoes (french fries). I hit a wall at about 45lbs and started to go back to the gym. Anything you can do to burn calories will help. You do need energy for workouts so you need to eat something small before you go. If you fast, you need to eat protein so you don't lose muscle. Also, working out and eating protein tells your body that you want to keep your muscles and not to pull protein from them.

it's just not talked about or shared with the media because they want to fool people into thinking they can get their bodies to look like that. realistically speaking, if you want to lose fat do this...

exercise and make it a hobby. find fitness classes because exercising as a group is very motivational and fun. don't do anything intense, because studies show intense exercise does not equate to weight loss . just get a class with exercises you can handle realistically. on your days off of class, just go to the gym and burn a few hundred calories on the bike or eliptical, or walk at the park a few times.
exercise should not be hard, not at all. you do what you can and make sure that you feel good doing it so you will keep doing it and enjoy it.
lastly, consider liposuction after taking classes for a year or a year and a half. if you do liposuction that may be the small push you need to obtain your ideal weight.
