Question for Men who have been through divorce?

I got over it by remembering the bad times and all of the times I felt miserable with her. I also bought myself a brand new car that I had wanted forever. It felt great to go for a drive when I was feeling down.

No; I felt excited, empowered and free.

I got over it by getting serious with the next woman.

I am never "powerless", and I AM bitter. I adjusted. I didn't file for divorce. I just hired the best lawyer available to negotiate for me. I'm NOT the one that was cheating. I'm NOT the one that walked out of a secure "loving" home and left 4 little girls. I made sure my lawyer got the best possible settlement in MY favor. Then I moved on. I spent the next 10 years dating successful, interesting, and usually attractive women. I lived the good life.

Living well is the best revenge. I got mine!!

The best way to see it is that you had your ex-wife at her best years and that the person she is now is just a bad copy. Once you realize the wife you had is long gone it becomes easier to let go ex look a like.

I think guys suffer much worse than women when it comes to divorce especially when the guy wasn't at fault . To be honest I felt lost at first, because the divorce came out of the blue, I had no idea that he marriage was in trouble. I was happy, but the work life balance was way off and it turned out to be the causation of the divorce Once the divorce was under way, i went off the rails a wee bit in sexual frenzy in an attempt to boost my flagging self esteem.The bad news was though the harder i tried to pull myself out of the mire i was in, the worse it got. Eventually after ten months of screwing around i hit rock bottom, and the realisation that things had to change. So i changed my life, i sold the business sold the house car and everything else and then went of travelling. The change in life brought me back to my old self, the doom and gloom vanished the damaging screwing around stopped and happiness returned....
