Black metal has several different categories within it. There is black n'roll (Khold and Darkthrone). There is blackened doom (Forgotten Tomb and Woods of Ypres), blackgaze like (Deafheaven), Pagen metal like (Into the Woods) Viking metal if you think it exists (Bathory their album Hammerheart. Than there is war metal like the first wave band Sodom. Black n Roll combines 70s hard rock and glam rock. Black doom combines well black and doom metals. Viking metal combines Norse mythology and Nordic folk music. Blackgaze has blast beats. Thats probably what you listed to. Pagen metal combines black metal with Irish folk. Symphonic black metal combines orchestral elements like cellos and violins. War metal or war black metal is more aggressive and cacophonous. Like In Battle and Zyklon-B. Also bands like Cradle of Filth fall more into the extreme metal category. Yes they bridge into black as well. Its just a matter of finding the balance. Its there.

Blast beats are not for Death Metal, at least not any death metal worth listening to. Black metal sucks complete ***. Stop being so kvlt. fag.
