OK, I feel like I should comment on this b/c of my recent issues. I went to 3 dentists before a final decision. 1 was going to make 4 different appointments at 3 different places (2 were more than 50miles away)to do fillings & extractions, 1 wanted to put me under & pull them, 1 suggested numbing with a shot & pulling. I did the last. I had 3 very small wisdom teeth that had erupted & weren't bothering me & 2 molars. My dentist said my molars had rotted from the inside out & by filling I was just postponing the enevitable (having to be pulled eventually). He gave me a shot & they were out in under 5min (each side). They're all in the back & don't affect my appearance & there's a bonus. My teeth are realigning & straightening. I'm so happy I decided to get them pulled. I was really against having the wisdom teeth out since they "weren't bothering me". Moral of the story, find a dentist your comfortable with & discuss your fears & concerns with them. All situations are different.

I think it is better to get fillings because they are less painful. Also having false teeth would hurt and damage your gums overtime. That's just my opinion.

That question should be best answered by your dentist and not a bunch of strangers on Yahoo Answers

I really DO have dentures. The funny thing is that I’m pretty happy I have them. You see, when I went to the dentist oh so long ago, my teeth were in rough shape. In fact, my dentist told me that I could undergo several root canals and keep my teeth for possibly a few more years, but that I would have to get them all removed eventually. I decided to forgo the root canals and have all of my teeth removed that year. I’m so happy I did this, too!
