Do all stocks pay dividends?

Some companies do not make sufficient profits, some retain profits for future investment in the business, some distribute part of the profits to shareholders as dividends.
older established companies usually pay dividends, new expanding companies want to keep their profits to invest in further growth (which should increase the value of their stock)
No. Most stocks do not pay dividends.
No only the ones that increase in value do.
no only the ones that increase in value do...
No, it isn't. firms with sensible growth prospects could also be cautious of paying high dividends or any dividends for that matter, however, could instead wish to use the profits for funding their growth
Emerging firms don't seem to be the sole one's that refrain from providing dividends, however, a number of the businesses with high debt magnitude relation still does not supply any dividends to the investors however instead route the profits to clear away debts. e.g. RCOM, Tata Motors etc
In CNX five hundred universes, around eight stocks out of total composition of five hundred stocks do not supply any style of dividends i.e. eighteen of stocks in CNX five hundred stocks supply 'zero' dividend
Far less than half pay a dividend.
not all, no
some do however, ie. stock in gas companies that are operating do pay dividends
It is not necessary. If you want dividends similar to interest from fixed deposit, you can choose some of the Public sector companies, were the dividends are paid regularly. The reason being Government gets money out of it and so does the investors.
There are other privately held companies which gives dividends on a regular basis.
