No, her own election campaign failed to understand the importance of actually having a message instead of spending all her time attacking Trump. People what to know WHAT someone will do, she never said what her plans were and she had no prior accomplishments to stand on. Her rallies were always tightly controlled, small groups relying on the MSM to make them appear larger; whereas Trump's rallies were always overflowing with people which the MSM tried to play down.

But as an issue I was surprised by how little he was featured in the race. I thought there would be more controversy about a former president being returned to the west wing but there wasn't really. The only time he featured somewhat heavily in the campaign was when Trump brought up allegations of sexual misconduct against Bill to distract from his own history of sexually assaulting women.
