Do you think every living human needs to have one or more pets?

at the moment I only have one 2 almost 3 year old chihuahua dachshund mix. He throws tantrums for food and licks EVERYTHING. he's also thrown my phone off my lap if i pay more attention to it then him. one of the reasons why the name axel (asshole) is so fitting

No not everyone should have a pet. You should only have a pet if you want one, can afford one and you have the responsibility to take care of one. Myself i have 2 dogs.

No, not everyone wants or should have a pet. Many people - read the posts here daily - cannot afford the pets they have and the animal suffers when it is ill or injured. Pets are a luxury item, and not a basic need that we are entitled to.

Too many people don't take the time or responsibility to properly care for pets, some can just be down right cruel. No, pets are not for everyone.
Just read through posts in pets and see how many innocent animals suffer at the hands of humans, good intentions or otherwise.
I have a little pet jumping spider, nothing more than a little spider, and yes, I would spend a couple hours to go clear across town and spend a few dollars to get it some food. It is my pet.
