f(x) = 5x² + 6x + 9

Think about what intercepts are for a minute. If something is intersecting the x-axis , it means that its y-value must be 0. Using this reasoning alone, plug in f(x) as 0 and solve through factoring:

0 = 5x² + 6x + 9

However, after analyzing this trinomial, I realize that it can't be factored by grouping. You could either complete the square or plug it into the quadratic formula, but you'll end up with imaginary results.

Therefore there are no x-intercepts in this function.

I realize that you have been posting questions for a lot of problems. If you just want something to check your work or give you answers to your homework, I highly recommend symbolab:

I just wouldn't depend on it for every problem, otherwise you won't learn in time for the test. The above link will check your work on intercepts but they have a calculator for pretty much every kind of problem.

I'm not very good at math, sorry.

Mistake: it should be f(x)=5x^2+6x+9
