The Current Engine Option A321 has the maximum range of 3,200 nautical miles. This is marginal for trans-Atlantic flights.

The New Engine Option A321LR will have the range of 4,000 nautical miles, plenty long enough to fly in two class configuration 206 passengers across the Atlantic. In the 164 seat configuration, including premium economy seats it will have the range of 4,100 nm.

Hi. It can surely do it. However, the certain aircraft must get certifications like ETOPS for transatlantic passenger flight operations.

It's a short to medium haul aircraft. Airbus say the new A321neo 97t does, though, have true transatlantic range.

Hi yes with no problems so what is the issue. let me guess as it is european built it can't possibly be as good as a boeing. when will you yanks understand we europeans can build things better hence why now lockheed are trying to build another type of concord.

Yes with ETOPS and less cargo and pax.. so the A/C is lighter

Yes it can. It needs to be certified for crossing the Atlantic Ocean though. (ETOPS requirements)

British Airways operate the A321 between London City airport and New York but this is a first class only
