i have both google maps and apple maps
google maps works perfectly for me when connected to my home wifi and also when i turn wifi off
apple maps works perfectly when connected to my homes wifi but when i turn wifi off on my phone it says "the internet connection appears to be offline"
is this normal? i have location setting on for both apple and google maps
does the apple maps app only work when connected to wifi?

Well, when I occasionally use a test iPhone, it always works with mobile data for me, not just Wi-Fi.
