The only thing giving Christianity any type of legitimacy ironically is the bible, and the bible is a heavily edited full of lies and incest spreading falsehood and bigotry.

Religion is a set of ideas. Writing is a way to share ideas. Binding them into books is a technology that makes sharing ideas this way economic.

All religions do not have books.

1) Why is religion in books?

It is the nature of literate humans to record things they consider important in writing.

2)Do all religions have holy books?

No, of course not. Many do not. And - of course - none of the religions of illiterate societies (of which there are still several) have or had holy books.

The bible was the first and is the only one with a beginning and prophecy of the end. The others were all written to be like the bible.
