I'm getting a PS3 soon and Ik you need a hdmi cable but do you need the hdmi cable if you already have a hd tv???
Will the game still look hd without it?

You don't *need* and HDMI cable, but if you want HD out of the console, you'll need one.
Well, you could find and use a Component (red/green/blue) cable for HD, but HDMI is far simpler. You won't get HD with the standard yellow video cable that comes with the console.
