would you move to this small Michigan town if you got a good job there?
my friend, 24, lives in a small town in Michigan, about 1.5 hours from Detroit.
It's cold, kinda in the middle of nowhere, low population which could be good for some, no mall and certain stores, there is a big drug and booze problem in the town (a lot of oxycontin), there is a lot of country music blaring around the town
My friend who lives there is a drug addict, and he does not like how cold it gets, and it's a bit isolated.
would you go there if offered a good job?

No. Don't stay somewhere you don't like.
If I were going to relocate somewhere, it would take more than good pay to uproot my life. I would also want to know what the cost of living is where I am going, access to social outlets and things to do where I am going. In short, I would probably say no to a small town so small that it doesn't even have a Wal-Mart.
