Normal means keeping a schedule and fulfilling your commitments like a functioning member of society. How you do that is up to you. Go to work and learn your class work. I don't keep a fixed schedule for sleep. It's impossible and impractical. It's impossible because people are too noisy and inconsiderate to get to sleep with the sunset and to wake up with the sunrise. I live in dorms. It's impractical because I often have to spend a lot of time working on something, and I can't take interruptions or I will lose focus. So, I alternate long periods of being awake with long periods of sleep. It means doing less, not doing more. I got up at 7am two days ago. Stayed up all through that night and went to bed at 5pm yesterday. Woke up at 12am today. Wasn't tired anymore, but I saw that it wasn't day yet, so I went back to bed. Woke up at around 5am, and went on Yahoo Answers. I am fully awake now and ready for the day. Most people are still snoozing, not getting fulfilled sleep. They need drugs and caffeine to stay alert. I don't use coffee or drugs. Neither did Tesla. Those are drugs and they're not good for your mental health. I'll often stay up for 30-40 hours, and then get some refreshing sleep for 10 hours. I find 10 hours awake and 14 hours asleep is necessary for me. But, I rarely do that. Often I'll sleep whenever I don't have any commitments, including during the middle of the morning or early afternoon, and will stay awake through the night. I keep up with what's going on and meet my obligations, and take care to get enough rest by doing less.
