What do you think about this?

In the weekend my partner and I had some friends over for a small party, I ended up having to leave very early to go to the emergency room because my 1yr old fell down the stairs and hit her head. Long story short, I missed the whole party and got home as the last people were leaving. I was nursing my very tired, frightened & sore baby when two of my friends asked if I could drive them home. I suggested that they got a taxi as it was already midnight and I needed to stay with my little one, I even offered to pay for their taxi.

After about a 10 min argument I ended up giving in and driving them home. They gave me the wrong directions about 5 times and the entire journey took over an hour. I got home to a very upset, unsettled little girl, still awake at 1am! They haven't even text to say thank you. I'm fuming. I can't just delete these people from my life because they are in our circle of friends but I feel like I need to say something to them? They really do have no respect! I told another friend about it (a childless friend) and she said I should chill and let it go... What do you think?

That it is extremely rude... if they were able to come to your party, they should be able to go home themselves. Plus, you were the host.
I would give them a talk.. if i were you, i would delete them from my life that moment. i think you should consider it as a surefire sign that something is wrong with your friends, and that you might want to reconsider if pursuing a friendship with them is something you want to continue.

I think you should have a talk with them but not maybe argue too much. It was very kind of you to even drive them - maybe next time let them know how you are feeling
