My Friend's mother is a smoker?

Ok so long story short, I just went to the library with my friend ive known for 9 years her mom comes to pick us up and i notice thAT her whole van smelled like cigarettes and I said "it smells like cigarettes in here"... And her mom does the shush thing with her finger and stuff.kind of acting suspicious about it she took some ice breakers and ate some so she wouldn't have a cigarette breath or anything,my friend didn't even know this is like the first time I ever peeped this or notice it should I tell her???
