How to stop being so scared of being proposed?

So my boyfriend has been giving me hints that he will propose to me soon, but I don't know when or where. I am freaking out just thinking about that because I tend to be the nervous type of person. I know I will say yes in a heartbeat its just the thought of it that freaks me out.

Quit over thinking this. It will happen when it happens and if he wants to surprise you, go with the flow. Remember, you aren't the only invested in this relationship. And if you're going to marry him there will be compromises.
My point is, even if you're "nervous" don't let that take away from the joy your future fiance wants to propose. When you are distressed by not knowing when and how, it tells me that you don't like it when you're not in control. GO WITH THE FLOW.

If you're actually prepared for marriage, then why are you scared?

Maybe this is a sign that you need to slow down a bit, discuss the situation rationally, and decide if you guys are truly ready for marriage.

If you really don't want the proposal to be a surprise, then just tell him. There's nothing wrong with just deciding to get married, putting on the ring (if you even want one), and then starting to plan the wedding. A surprise bended-knee proposal isn't required to get engaged.

Well it is not like you are the first one to be proposed to, nor will you be the last - nothing frightening about it, just another step in your life's journey. Babies and divorce are when things get nerve-wracking - been there done that...
