Is the PS3 really worth getting right now in 2016??

My birthday is coming up and I was thinking getting a PS3 over a PS4. IS it worth it??, I heard you have to pay to play online for ps4

If there are 5 or 6 PS3 games that you are willing to buy and play, it's worth buying the system.

Yes.. After uncharted 2 my ps3 phat was broken and i just bought a new one last May... I have been playing non stop ever since.. There are lots if games i missed plus the the prices of games now are really low... Ive been playing it for my backlog but if u want to play new releases it will not be worth it

Only if you are OK with getting a system that is pretty much at the end of its lifecycle. Do not expect there to be many, if any, new games released for it going forward. All the new games will be coming out for the PS4.

Yes, you have to pay to play online on a PS4. Though that isn't reason enough to get a PS3 these days in my opinion. The PS3 is long on the way out compared the incumbent PS4.

Yep you have to pay. There are games that are exclusively for the ps4. If you don't care about those games, then I would suggest buying a ps3 instead.
