That law was for ancient Israelites. It has nothing to do with Christians.

The Bible's not "anti-tattoo".

Because that was Old Testament, which is Jewish Law.

There was a law against tattoos under the Jewish law of the Old Testament because at that time tattoos were a symbol of the Canaanite religion, The Jewish law against "images" made them unacceptable for the Jewish religion. However that set of laws ended when the Jewish nation came to end. That set of laws has not and does not apply to Christians.

There is no prohibition in the New Testament (where the rules for Christians) are found. While at different times the church has pulled the Jewish prohibition over and attempted to apply it to Christians, there is no such law in the Bible itself.

There are still laws against anything that supports any other religion or "god". So for a Christian to get a tattoo that was related to a different religion would be wrong, that is because of the religious aspect and not because it is a tattoo.

Even if you do argue that tattoos are forbidden by the Bible, if a person got a tattoo before they became a Christian, they are still stuck with the tattoo following their conversion. Not like you can wash them off.

Many Christians who do have tattoos would have had them done before they became a Christian. No-one is born a Christian.

I was taught as a Catholic if you wear a cross you go straight to heaven when you die. In many nursing homes they won't let the people wear their crosses. So I tattooed one on my arm.

The truth is that Christianity is pure idolatry. Any religion claiming that something has authority over something else and all is one is not really one. It even says in the New Testament that the Son does not know when Christ will come back the second time. Christianity practices worship in many forms, which is paganism by definition.

Christianity stems away from the true religion of righteousness, Judaism. Certain laws were broken, such as the law of circumcision and not working on The Sabbath. With a breaking of laws is going to come people being deceived. With people being deceived is going to come bad things like people getting tattoos since biblical laws that are not followed can and does lead people astray.

Judaism preaches peace and love. Christianity does too, but with laws that are broken and a type of worship that is not one, nobody can truly follow God nor connect to God fully nor correctly.

Best wishes.
