Life would be monotonous and boring if everybody were the same. It is the differences in our heritages, lifestyles, vocations, hobbies, skills, abilities and needs that teaches us about each other and more importantly ourselves. They also offer us challenges and opportunities, which brings inherit change. Being the same is a contradiction to change.
Remaining constant prohibits a person's ability to develop. Unable to develop, we have no motivation to learn about our neighbours. By not engaging with our community, our social circle would be extremely small.
Facts prove the the smaller your social circle is the higher your risk for disease. Psychiatric studies demonstrate that, people who are unvarying are at an extremely high risk for being diagnosed with a mental health disorder.
Uniformity decreases our over all health. The cost to healthcare would be enormous.
Lack of variety or monotony leads to the death of brain cells. Society would eventually become less intelligent. As the cycle progressed and our cognitive abilities decreased, we would become extinct.
Life would be depressing if everybody was the same, living in a static state knowing things would never change, that would be horribly disheartening.Growth and excitement are both synonyms for life, therefore life would not exist if everyone were the same.

Edit: BTW, what do you mean by "the same." All humans are basically the same in terms of their bodies, etc. You mean equal intelligence? Everyone likes the same things?

If everyone was the same then nobody would be different. If nobody was different then the world would be the same. If the world would be the same then there would be no problems. If there was no problems there would be no solutions. If there was no solutions we cannot get better. If we cannot get better then we would not be here today. If we cannot be here today then you can't ask this question.

Well, look at twins. Sometimes they argue like cats and dogs. As long as "everyone" was all the same in being smart and kind, rather than lazy and dishonest, then life would be great.

If everyone was the same we would all die. We would all be exactly the same. All of our immune systems would be exactly a like. If our immune system were all alike, we would all die. We would all die because if a parasite came and got one person sick, everyone would get sick, and get wiped out.
