Why the question, I don't understand?

This week he calls, we talk and just like that he breaks my heart by dumping me. Then about 25 minutes later he calls, saying he's checking on me with "are you ok?" Unbelievable! So I told I'm not. He then says "You're not?" like he couldn't believe it. Then he says "well, I was worried, good night." I have NEVER seen nor heard of anything like that after a breakup. What is your opinion?
