I'm interested in knowing what you guys think this poem means:

Rate me,
Berate me,
Donate to the cause
Of the plain old girl
A silent applause

She's a 6 out of 10
Unappealing to men
Who sit in your playpen
Their own private haven

Create her
And date her
Elate at her grace
You’re a sucker for blondes
And a drawn out chase

She’s a 10 out of 10
So close to perfection
Start over again
The private election

I was given it in class today and thought it was cool :)

Bowman: Thanks for the opinion, I love Keats. My favourite is Poe by far though :) I'm pretty sure my teacher wrote this, yeah, but everyone in class took it a different way so I thought that was pretty cool. I personally think it's about men never settling for any woman, even a 10/10. The persona is probably the 6/10 looking on and wondering why. love your answer!

This is a very basic poem with few noticeable stylistic techniques or symbolism. I think someone you know in class/ your teacher wrote it as it cannot be seen elsewhere on the internet. Some poems that are filled with much more meaning are ones written by Keats which I recommend.

It seems to be about a leader who had sex in the White House,
but didn't..
Now the election is private meaning the winner was chosen long ago.
