make ...該用for 還是to？

1. He made an apple pie for his wife.
= He made his wife an apple pie. （授予動詞用法，有兩個受詞：直接與間接）
= An apple pie was made for his wife.（授予動詞改被動時，有固定的介系詞搭配間接受詞。）
不能用介系詞to

2. He made invitations to many people.用介系詞to是因為invitations的緣故
He made invitations for many people.不正確，有語病。他幫很多人邀請？！作東的主人是many people?那麼He是誰？為何由他來邀請？
