It depends on whether there are young children in the family. If so, term is
the best type until they are finished college. Then convert to whole life.
Bad idea if you need coverage for a short period of time. It...or one of the many other options...might be a good idea if you want life insurance forever.
It's a tool. Is a hammer a good tool or a bad tool? It depends on if you want to hit a nail, or screw in a screw.
Just like whole life insurance. It's a TOOL. Without knowing what the job is you want the tool to do, it's impossible to say if it's a "good tool" for the job or not. Most of the time, it's NOT the most cost effective tool for the job. Sometimes, though, it is.
Great way for insurance agents to make money.
GET term life insurance if u need it.
USE extra money to build Wealth
Bad idea. You can do the same thing with a term life insurance policy and and IRA, but without the commissions the insurance company has to take for setting all this up. When you buy life insurance, you are betting that you are going to die, and if you don't die, you have lost the bet.
