I see eye floaters... I feel it might be more than normal?

If I look in one area too long...its like I see dots falling, or some just sweeping past my field of vision. Also, I can see a dot slowly going up or down my peripheral vision sometimes.... Does this sound like macular degeneration?

Before you give me the , we aren't doctors..tqlk to someone crap...i already have an appointment..so until then, I just need an answer.
