A sample of an ideal gas has a volume of 2.33 L at 285 K and 1.05 atm. Calculate the pressure when the volume is 1.13L and the temperature is 298 K.

For the sample of ideal gas :
P₁ = 1.05 atm, V₁ = 2.33 L, T₁ = 285 K
P₂ = ? atm, V₂ = 1.13 L, T₂ = 298 K

For a fixed amount of gas under constant volume and temperature :
P₁V₁/T₁ = P₂V₂/T₂
Then, P₂ = P₁ × (V₁/V₂) × (T₂/T₁)

The required pressure = 1.05 × (2.33/1.13) × (298/285) atm = 2.26 atm
