How do I tell my cousin that getting another dog is not a good idea for her?

One of my cousins dogs just recently died and the dog that they still have doesn't socialize with any other dog but the one that died. He snapped at my dog and at me twice. I don't want a puppy to go into a dangerous situation. So how do I tell her she should wait?

This is a situation for her parents to handle, no matter how well meaning you are.

You cant control what other people do, its not your problem or responsibility.

I say you should go over her house one day and if the dog acts up, you should point out that the dog would do that to a puppy, or a new dog in the house if she isn't socialized more or if she isn't trained. Hopefully you'll be able to start a conversation about it with her and get her to realize her dog needs some time to adjust to her friend being gone. I hope this helps. GOOD LUCK!!!!👍🏼🍀
