When cells are broken open, DNA is released from cells into solution. What two macromolecules are also released?
Name at least two other macromolecules that are also released from the cells, and the places that they are found in cells.

Protein and RNA - in nucleus and cytoplasm.
Assuming eukaryotic cells:
o phospholipids from the membranes of organelles and from the endoplasmic reticulum - treat with detergents to break up membranes and solubilize the phospholipids
o proteins, from the cytosol, from the organelles, and bound to the DNA - treat with proteases (such as those found in pineapple juice) to break them up into small pieces and amino acids
o RNA, found in the nucleus and in the cytosol and in the ribosomes. -- Treat with RNAases to break these up.
