Help thinking of a name for this (fictional) dog?

Yes, it's important. He's not even truly a dog; a golden wolf in his 'true' form in simplest terms. When I was younger I came up with the name "Sundrop" but I feel like it sounds a bit... well... childish, so I'm attempting to think of another one now. His fur colour should be much like a golden retriever, but not the shape of his body itself. Perhaps something in Latin. Thanks if you can help.
