Why do fat people have no energy if E=MC^2?

I mean... shouldn't they be faster than skinny people? Or at least be fitter than us?

Of course, that formula is for nuclear burning, so they would need to be completely converted to energy, but such a minor point!

E=MC^2 states that energy equals the mass of the system multiplied by the speed of light in a vacuum squared. Given that overweight people can never move at the speed of light, there's no way to apply this equation to them.

The reason overweight people have no energy is attributed to many factors, the most simple one is that it simply takes more energy to move around because you yourself are having to move more mass around. The more mass you have to move, the more energy you use to move that mass.

"C" in this equation is the speed of light.

I see no correlation between their mass and energy if they aren't moving at the speed of light.

Very funny, Pretty. Unfortunately, (or, for the rest of us, fortunately) the energy we utilize is the result of chemical, not nuclear, reactions. A fat or skinny person using the equation you quote would need to achieve the internal temperature of the sun, which is approximately 15,000,000 degrees Celsius (27,000,000 degrees Fahrenheit). If a person were that hot, I'm afraid they wouldn't be very popular since they would incinerate the planet. One good thing about being fat though, you're very attractive, (gravitationally speaking).

Perhaps you should ask a Sumo wrestler this question... I bet he could show you just how fast a skinny person can be thrown through a wall!
