I have been lying to my mom about school and now she found out and i feel very guilty and sad.Help?

I have been doing poorly this whole school year and my mom asks me everyday how im doing and i always tell everything is fine she went to talk to my councelor today without me knowing and found out im missing credits and doing really bad with my grades she asked me why am i doing this if the only thing i have to worry about is school and I feel really guilty and sad i love her a lot and I didn't want this to happen how can i get this guilt out of me?

Just tell her the truth and how you're really sorry and you feel bad I'm sure she will forgive you. Promise you will get better grades and talk to your teachers if you are struggling. Parents always forgive their kids you have nothing to worry about, especially if you improve at school

maybe you should ask your mom to get you a tutor so you can do better in school
