How was your high school experience?

I'm Indian but I was like one of those whitest people in the classroom. Maybe that's why at times I didn't fit in (and some n!ggas were taking it a wee little too far).

I was a loner. I barely had friends.

Ironic. I started out as one out of 20 black students in a school population of over a thousand kids, who seemed to all think life was like Disneyland, compared to the area I moved from. Besides being 6'6" and on the basketball team, I thought I was pretty low-key. Didn't have any close friends at all, but I guess I was cool enough with every group to have some level of popularity. As a high school senior I entered my name for Homecoming King as a joke to amuse myself, thinking there were far more popular guys people would vote for before me. I had forgotten all about it until about a week later people kept coming up to me telling me they voted for me.

I thought it was nice of them to say, but I didn't really think I had a chance. More and more people kept expressing their support, and telling me I was going to win in a landslide, leading up to Homecoming. I didn't want to get my hopes up a refused to believe up until they announced my name as the winner as the assembly/ceremony. After high school when running into former classmates from time to time, I'd tell them the story, and each time they would tell me that they thought I was always hanging out with 'this' group or 'that' group. High school really taught me how people can live in their own tiny bubble realities, and at the time I never applied that theory to myself.

Just normal. Had friends, went to class, and went to dances.

Boring

Miserable and Happy at the same time.

Sucked at the time, but in hindsight, was pretty fun
My best friend used to come over every weekend, I played call of duty with my friends, and some of my teachers loved me
