(Game of Thrones) Does the Faith of the Seven really hate magic?

I read a lot of FanFiction stories where the Faith is portrayed like this,but I can't help but think that is just fandom myth! So can anyone clear this up for me

Are they hating magic or hating other religions?
I can think of plenty of religious bigotry, but no anti-magic bigotry in the books.
Most likely the fanfictions are just borrowing from the real world where the church killed practioners of magic.

You read fanfiction and then you wonder if it's myth? Hahahaha! True ice-blooded GOT fans do not do fanfictions!
