96= ( -12)x( -8)
so x^2+ax+96=(x-8)(x-12)=x^2-20x+96
s= -20, b= -8

L.H.S.=x^2+ax+96
R.H.S.=(x+b)(x-12)
=x^2+bx-12x-12b
By comparing like terms,we have
-12b=96
b=-8
a=-8-12
a=-20
