A chemist dissolves enough hydrochloric acid in 350ml of water to create a 0.230M solution. If the reaction generates 6.02KJ of heat energy, determine the molar heat of solution for hydrocholoric acid?

No. of moles of HCl = (0.230 mol/L) × (350/1000 L) = 0.0805 mol

As heat is evolved, the molar heat of solution is negative.
Molar heat of solution = - (6.02 kJ) / (0.0805 mol) = -74.8 kJ/mol
