Why does my friend keep mentioning my sexuality?

A few months ago I confided in my friend about being bisexual. He seemed fine with it, but ever since, keeps bringing it up during conversations, especially around other friends. Sometimes it seems like he is using it as an insult (We do share quite a lot of banter, so it isn't uncommon for us to insult each other, in a joking manner). Why is this?

We joke about our worst fears. Take him aside and just politely inform him that you don't care for his sneering judgements and insults. Depending on how much he denies it and tries to backpedal, will show you how true your suspicions are about his treatment of you.

Maybe the banter is getting a bit too far. If you have a problem with it, tell him not to do that in front of others. He may understand.

How can we possibly know why, when we don't know him? If you want to know why he's doing that, has it occurred to you to ASK him? You know, as if you were both over the age of 12?

Maybe bring it up to him and ask why he keeps doing it? He may have a sarcastic type of humor but it might be he has a tad of homophobia to his personality aswell??
