Using the Law of Conservation of Mass:
(1.483 g total) - (0.676 g Sn) = 0.807 g Cl

(0.676 g Sn) / (118.71 g Sn/mol) = 0.0056945 mol Sn
(0.807 g Cl) / (35.4532 g Cl/mol) = 0.022762 mol Cl

Divide by the smaller number of moles:
(0.0056945 mol Sn) / 0.0056945 mol = 1.000
(0.022762 mol Cl) / 0.0056945 mol = 3.997
Round to the nearest whole numbers to find the empirical formula:
SnCl4
