Can a Sigma 70-300mm lense for canon fit a nikon camera?

Not only that, but with Nikon s notoriously narrow throat diameter, and Canon s deliberately wide one, an adapter would be more trouble than it s worth - even before you factor in the loss of autofocus, aperture control, and metering.

No. You cannot adapt Canon lenses to fit Nikon because Nikon lenses require a sensor-to-flange distance that is longer than what Canon requires. This is why you can get adapters that will allow you to use Nikon lenses onto Canon bodies. The adapter makes up for the additional spacing required by the lens.
